Why Diapers?
Theories abound as to why we are the way we are. In his more than 17 years of blogging Cwis researches this very topic, using information gleaned from hundreds of conversations, more than 100 Q&As completed by members of the ABDL community, his 2018 ‘Origins of ABDL’ survey, and dozens of polls on X.
KINK EDUCATOR: CLASSES & PANELS
Cwis is a kink educator, having lead a number of classes on the ‘Origins of ABDL’ topic at CAPCON, SideQuest, and BabyFurCon Virtual. In addition, the materials he’s made available online have been used in a number of other classes at kink events around the world.

Cwis’s Photo Contests
They began in the early days of the online ABDL community, even before social media. The first contest was intended as a way to get a bunch of ABDL photos in one place - a display of pride for our community. Later contests invited entrants from across the world - #diaperprideworldwide. One would even be held to celebrate the millionth pageview of Cwis’s Blogspot blog! Centered around ABDL pride and acceptance, the contests attracted prizes including a pair of tickets and a hotel stay at TeddyCon, tickets to the West Coast Jungle Gym, cases of diapers from ABUniverse and Northshore, and many more. “It’s prize overkill!” one ornery ABDL complained on Reddit.
Dozens of entries poured in for each photo contest, and an accompanying essay contest, Cwis held over the years.

The ‘Big Kid Bucket’
The first iteration of the ‘Big Boy Bucket’ appeared on Cwis’s Blogspot blog all the way back in 2008. Back then, Cwis was ‘abysitting’, and visitors would be required to place everything they came with in the bucket for storage. That blog entry has received thousands of views, and hundreds of inquiries, over the years, making it one of the most popular entries Cwis has ever written.

NOTE: I do my best to highlight events that are open to all in the ABDL community, because I was once on the outside looking in, and I thoroughly believe that this community is amazing - and even moreso when we’re inclusive.
Still, many ABDL events - my own included - are private/vetted events for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is privacy/security. I’ll have a ‘tip sheet’ for hosting those types of events in the near future, as well.
